low oil pressure after overhaul update...FIGURED IT OUT!

pulled it back out, took the pan off, and ran a pressure luber into the 1/8" NPT plug in the oil filter housing to push oil through the the whole engine. a steady stream the size of your pinky finger came pouring out behind the rear cover before anywhere else even dripped. pulled off the rear cover and one of the 1/2" freeze plugs pushed out of the back of the block, but got caught between the rear cover and the block so it didn't fall down into the pan.
