99 Psd Possible Boost Problems
Just Bought A 99 Excab Psd. How Many Pounds Of Boost On The Average Would You Say That This Year Truck Should Make. If I Go Wot For A Short Period Of Time The Service Engine Soon Light Will Come On Then After I Let Out A Few Seconds Later It Will Go Back Out. Also What Kind Of Egt's Should This Truck Have? I Ran The Codes On The Truck And It Has No Codes At All. Any Help Or Advice Would Be Great I'm New To The Diesel Worl

If the truck is totally stock, then 15-17 should be around the max, however if your getting an SES light that goes right back out, that is prolly an overboost situation and should be setting a soft code. What are you using to pull the codes with?
Check the wastegate line to make sure its plugged in, its the red line running from the intake spyder back around to the turbo, if its off it will let it boost higher, but still that shouldn't be happening with a stock truck, you may have a chip on it or a tuner installed that you don't know about. |
