Most batteries are good for a few months on the shelf, the AGM batteries are good for about a year. Of course that could be extended if they are topped off once in a while but they would eventually sulfate and have a reduced capacity. Still it wouldn't hurt to try them, I have a set in my 95 that should have been dead 3 years ago. Bought the truck after it had been sitting for almost 2 years, batteries were showing less than 1v but after charging them up they work fine.

charge them for a week in a warm place on a low amp charge. they will last for a few years, probably not as long as fresh batteries but the price is right.

Battery

Thanks.

They are both brand new and in the box.

Is there a shelf life on brand new batterys? Can they be put away and then used at later date?
