Hey guys
I have a fuel leak in the motor valley of my 97 and I know there have been countless threads about this problem so I don't want to be repetitive but the brass fuel pump in the bottom of the has little vessels that leak, which I have heard is the most common. What is the actuall technical name of this part? Thanks |

That's a good question i just changed my fuel pump a month ago and can't think of what your referring to.

I don't actually even know what it is I just know it's gold color and it's in the motor valley (on top of the motor just slightly foward and below the turbo). It's roughly cylindrical shape with 2 thin pipes coming off it in a Y shape.

they call the fuel pump a [lift pump] if your talking about the lines that the bango bolt go thru they are high psi fuel lines

That sounds right but what's a bango bolt?

That's the big 1 1/4 bolt on the back side of the fuel pump.
