Water pump

I have changed water pumps many times before but never on a diesel. I just cannot figure what the deal is with my 01 stroker pump it started leaking so I thought new pump time. Then, it stopped leaking for a couple of days, then started again, not a a lot, then stopped. I may as well change it or I will be asking for it later. Man, they are expensive 188.00 life-time warranty. Does anyone know if I need any special tools or not? Thanks.

the only special tools you will need will be fan clutch wrenches to take the clutch of the water pump

Make sure to put a bottle of the ford diesel coolant additive in after you get it fixed. Without it, the water pumps in these trucks commonly only go 100k.
