Thumbs up CPS Recall

Got my CPS changed today under the recall. The original sensor had never given any trouble, and I carry a spare in the glovebox. It took 30 minutes, truck runs fine. I love our Ford dealer. They even offered to refund the money I paid for the spare, but it is the new design, so I am keeping it to ward off evil sprits! To see if your truck is included in the recall, go to the Ford website, click on the recall link, and type in your Vin Number.

$18.00 off of E Bay is not bad. It it Ford or aftermarket? The dealer sold me the spare CPS for $24.00 and change. Its sealed in an OEM wrapper, and I was in a hurry at the time.

Ford new in the bag, and it's the new one with the part number that ends with -B. They are buy it now for $18.99 or $18.95 with shipping included. Do a search on Ebay for Ford Powerstroke cam position sensor and you will find it. Some times you can get them for a couple bucks if you play the bidding game.

I got mine done today. I stopped in yesterday just to make sure there would not be a problem and that there wasn't a time limit. I don't use the truck much in the Winter and figured I would get it done in the spring. They said no problems and I could get it done in the morning if I wanted. Was about 45 minutes from when I handed them the key till I was pulling out. Don't know how long it actually took I was drinking coffee and reading the morning paper.

Mine ran good on the old CPS and it seems to run fine on the new one. I to decided to keep my new spare in the glove box, didn't even think about asking for a refund.
