IDM or valve cover gasket?
my 96 econoline 350 7.3L powerstroke is in the garage & running up quite a labour bill. $300.00 bill so far & they can't determine if the lost of my four cylinders on the passenger side is is a valve cover or an IDM issue. They said it will be another $300.00 in labour to test the gasket. IDM test results indicates open circuit, which could be gasket or IDM problem. Which of the two is it most likely to be? I am trying not to pay labour 3 times for one problem.
