2001 F250 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel: I need step by step how to change the belt tensioner pully that is between the crankshaft pully and the a/c pully..after taking off the belt...it's the pully that you use the 1/2" brakeover to release the tension of belt. Have not inspected it completely but know it is bad. (somthing sticking out of backside & pully ****eyed). Don't know what tools it will take or shortcuts.. Best Regards from Oklahoma City..

Pretty simple, release belt, then using a 13mm deep socket and 3/8 ratchet, remove the hold down bolt (between the 2 pulleys) Install is the same, just line up the 2 dowels on the back of the tensioner with the holes in the A/C bracket. Did mine a couple days ago, it was on an angle and eating belts. The deep socket gives you the right reach without needing to remove any other parts

Thanks Alberta 7.3, that does seem simple. Merry Christmas, Operator73102
