Water pump went out?
My truck has been running kinda sick for a while. I took it to the dealership and other places nobody could quite get it to run like it used too. Changed the IPR, IPC, CPS no help. Well the other day the water pump started pouring out coolant. I had it replace now the truck runs great. Even the mechanic does not know how this helped performance. The problem was intermittant before. Sometimes it runs like a scalded ape other times like I had 5th wheel on. Now it seems to be fixed what in the world could the mechanic have accidentally done to fix my truck so if it happens again I know where to look.
Sorry so long Thanks Mike |

YOU THINK ITS POSSIBLE THE WATERPUMP HAD BEEN LEAKING FOR A WHILE AND WAS DRIPPING DOWN ON THE CPS AND CAUSING INTERMITTENT SHORT ?JUST A THOUGHT SINCE CPS IS LOCATED BELOW WATER PUMP .

Could have been. I was thinking maybe the water temp sensor may not have been connected good and was causing it to run bad due to inaccurate reading. I dont know but if it starts falling on its face again I am looking in that area for the problem. But I am sure it is electrical now. I just dont know where to look for the problem because it wont throw any codes. Not even dealership is getting any.
