The newer injectors are split shots and the old ones are single shots. They won't swap.

You may be able to get a chip to run the split shots and swap all of the injectors. I'm really not sure though. You can run singles on newer trucks with programming, but i don't know if you can go backwards.

Check the type of injector. You probably have AA. The others from the later truck are likely AD. They won't work because of timing differences. You could swap the ecm with the injectors to make them work. My truck had this problem of wrong injectors when I bought it - AD instead of AB. Caused all sorts of problems, like just about zilch power!

There was a OBS (95 or 96 on) that had split shots (AB) in a cali model for emissions. I'd say that there is a 95% chance you have AA code injectors. Your 01 will have AD's or a hybrib of some sort if it isn't stock. You can change the tune with a chip that will allow you to use splits, but I don't know if your stock HPOP will handle them. EASY FIX: Look up DIY injectors on google and have Jim fix it. He is DZL Jim on here.
