Need Help!!!
Hi im new to the diesel world i bought a 2001 f350 7.3 about six months ago today i was driving to work and the check engine light came on and the truck started to bog really bad i stoped at advanced and i got a code for (exhaust back pressure valve). then when i started it up and left there it ran fine about ten miles and then it started again. the only diesel shop around can't look at it for another week anyone have any advice i can try thanks

try unplugging the red wire at the bottom of your wastegate by your turbo and see if that makes any difference.

i unpluged the red wire and it didnt change still bogs down. and by bogging down i meen it barely moves but it doesnt do it until it warms up if i let it cool down and then restart it it runs fine until it warms up any other ideas? i really appreciate the help

I would check the valve in the exhaust that closes when the truck is cold. It may be sticking closed. I would also check the exhaust back pressure sensor. It is located in the center of the engine near the HPOP.
