Starter sounds ruff

I have an 03 7.3 and the starter sounds kind of ruff while cranking. Its a new ford oem starter. It usually fires up in 2-3 sec so that's normal I beleive. Cables are good battery's are brand new. I did notice I can flex the starter when pushing up on it while its mounted, this concerns me a little. I checked all ring gear teeth and they are in good shape. We have other 7.3s and they seem to sound smoother while cranking. Any ideas. Thanks
