Diesel Leak!! HELP!

my friend's 2000 7.3 Excursion is leaking fuel. I rolled under the truck to take a look and the leak seemed to be leakin up by the fuel pump. It is a very small leak. Is is possible that it is leakin where the fuel line hooks to the pump?? The trucks been leaking for a couple weeks.

Could this leak cause a fire or somthing bad?? this is my friend's family vehicle and he doesnt want to take any chances.
