At a lose

So here is the deal. Truck was low on fuel and being brain dead I parked on a heavy incline. About ten minutes later it died so I assumed it ran out of diesel. Pulled it to a flat surface put 15 gallons of diesel in it, changed fuel filter and haven't been able to get it started since. The block heater has been plugged in for three days, I covered it with a tarp and stuck a heater under it till it heated the engine compartment up to around 110 deg. Tested the glow plug relay- fine. I go the start it, I get white smoke from exhaust and it tries to start but just won't fire over. Turn the key on and wait for the glow plug light to go out, turn it over and the glow plug light comes back on. Batteries are fully charged with 200 amp start boxed attached. Just wont start. Any advice????

have you tried opening the drain and cycling the key on a few times to purge out the air?
