Throttle Response in wet weather

Thought my TPS on my 02 f250 7.3L was going bad. I noticed it acted up more on high moisture days (rain, dense fog and snow), figured just the TPS. Replaced the entire assembly. Works fine on dry days acts up on wet days or when I wash the truck. Moisture has to be infiltrating something under the hood. Any ideas?

Throttle Response

I just noticed that when the throttle is acting up the engine temperature gauge spikes and drops. Eventually the check gauges light comes on. Again, this only happens when it is wet outside. I am assuming there is a short somewhere in the wiring, but don't have a clue on which end to start. Any ideas?

SOVLED!!

Found the solution. Filled an old windex bottle with water and sprayed different areas of wiring under the hood. Sprayed a group of wires hanging down on the driver's side wheel well. Check the temp gauge, sure enough it moved.

The group of wires that are usually near the master cylinder fell between the shock absorber and frame and skinned two wires. Some electrical tape now I'm good to go.
