Head studs on 7.3??

I have buddy that's looking to replace the head on the passenger side of his 1999 f250 Powerstroke does he have to replace the head studs or can he use the old ones? But retorque them and lock tight them?

But he'll have bolts on the driver side and studs on passenger side won't that mess it up?
