I cannot get the connector apart to check the glow plugs on my 99 ford ps. I dont want to break it like I do 9 times out of 10. Help? I read to push down and pry, I have pushed and pryed all I can without breaking anything.

i usually just use a 90 degree pick and pop it out. sometimes the connector will just come off complete with the wedge. which is fine. just be ginger. it'll go

Thanks for the reply, I'm not kidding, I usually break all the connectors like this. Had to replace the fuel pump in my sons jeep, yep broke the damn connector trying to get it apart. Well part of my problem is I am 50 and half blind. Thanks for the reply, suppose to start raining Wednesday so I cant do anything till after the rain stops. Where does it come apart? I got wires going in on the top, does the bottom flip out or the top? I am going to take a picture and put it on here if I cant get it off. Like I said this little stuff costs me cause I break it.

haha. no worries. the center section of the connector, where the locking tab is; there is a wedge under it that slides back towards the valley. you have to use a little pick and pry it back. once that wedge is out, the connector will just come apart like any other. just push the tab down pull it apart. maybe use a little spray lube on it. let it soak in a bit. may soften up the plastic so it's not as brittle
