WTF any clue what this was for?

early 99 7.3 6spd. cc longbed 4wd I have had this truck since 06 with little problems. i was having a trailer wiring problem, (tow back up ights/ tow battery charge) i posted in another section. Anyway there has been this retarted box and various wires under the dash so Today was the day to tear it out. Here it goes all the power has been unhooked when i got it. makes me wonder now....
There was a box mounted inside under the brake pedal on the firewall. it had 2 relays in it. the wires went to a switch on the dash, a light in the dash, to a circuit breaker on the firewall directly from the battery, a wire going to the steering column wires, 2 wires going to the gas pedal, 2 wires going to the barake pressure switch on the master cylinder, and 3 wires going to the (bare with me) plug underneath the turbo? pedastal? not sure. there has never been any power to any of it. when i got it there was a gold superchip in it. so i have unhooked everything and doesent seem to make a difference although i havent drove it just cranked it up. the wires going to the plug under the turbo i did splice back together so i would think it would make a difference. any ideas????

Sounds like someone was using the EBPV as an exhaust brake.
