Truck is spitting few onto the engine. Shop says its the injection pump, is it?
So this is the first I even knew I had a injection pump. lol. Heard of injector pumps, but not injection.
This had to happen recently as last fill up i was only getting 6.5mpg instead of 10. This is towing around my gooseneck so mileage isnt great. This morning I started smelling it, at first I thought it was a wire burning so I started looking. Found fuel pudding up on top my engine by the fuel bowl. I replaced my glowplug relay last night so I though I must have broke it some out to leak out. Shop says it's the injection pump. Could it be something other than the injection pump? At $2k after labor its a hard hit. |

well, considering you don't have an injection pump I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's not it. You need to find a different shop. NOW. I'm gonna guess your fuel bowl is leaking. clean the valley out real good with a little degreaser, get it dry then start the truck up and see if you can see where the leak is coming from.
