Looking at a '00 F-350, some ?'s

Hello,

It's been awhile since I've been on here. Anyway. Went and looked at a truck tonight. Looked it over in the dark with a flashlight noticed oil around the front main, looked like it was coming from or behind the power steering pump. Also the oil pan looked very rusty and the trans pan was damp.

Test drove it. It had been sitting and was in the 30s today and started right up, slight puff of blue smoke right when it started, then it cleared up. I test drove it, handled well, shifted good, drove straight, excellent brakes. The biggest issue I had was NO BALLS!!!

So my question is, how should this truck perform? My current truck is a '95 F-350 that just happened to roll over 300k this morning, and burns oil like crazy and is pretty much beat up. But the 2000 I drove today acted like my truck does with the gooseneck hitched on the back loaded down with old iron. I was kinda suprised and disappointed. When I left in y tuck and got on it it was like being in a dragrail copared to the '00. Is this truck worth pursueing? The price is pretty low (under $10k) and it only has 149k on the odometer. I noticed it a few weeks ago and the fact that it's still there has me wondering if everyone who has looked at it knows something I don't.

Any and all input is appreciated, Jason
