powerstroke starting issues....again.
ok so i drove home last night, running fine. all normal. this morning i try to start it and cant. no wait to start light. checked all the fuses. didnt check the relays, specifically number 30. cant check it with a test light so i guess ill have to replace it and hope that works. i changed my glow plug relay thinking that would fix it for sure, nope. it wont even start with ether guys! tried jumping the gpr and the wrench slipped and shorted out on my fuel line so now i got a hole in my fuel line i got it plugged in now, i don know what to do, im supposed to work in the morning. Just to clarify: checked all fuses NO WAIT TO START LIGHT couldnt check relay number 30 replaced gpr wont start with ether cps replaced three days ago at dealer |

The key is, without a WTS, you have to figure the PCM isn't running...
Start there. There should be power in the OBD-II port as well as the cig ltr. If you have a performance chip, remove it. Check the PCM connector maybe. I'm going to assume you've done a Really Careful job with the fuses because that actually is the most likely reason for a non-running PCM. With a meter, Both sides of every fuse... What yr is your truck? What does relay #30 (is that right? my relays are 3 digit ie.303) say it's for? |

update
thanks noralph. yeah i mentioned that i HAD checked all the fuses. i assumed that the pcm #30 fuse was under the hood. stupid me. ive even done this before and made the same mistake again. i was spending hours chasing electrical signal everywhere BUT the dash. KISS. keep it simple stupid. ill try to learn my lesson this time.....thanks for the reminder though.
