99 7.3 Oil disappearing

I have a early 99 7.3 I just installed an 03 turbo new o-rings gaskets and so-on. I checked oil before I left, went 115 miles and truck lost power and puffed white smoke and died! I check oil none. 8 qts later it is still 2qts shy of full, starts runs great no power loss and I make it to store 20 miles away. Check oil again, 6 qts added, so I head home I buy 3 gallons before I leave make it 30 miles and i stop to check the oil 4 more qts. I make it to the next town stop and check it again 4 qts more. I get 23 mile from home and I call a tow truck to tow it home (it was cheaper than buying more oil and possibly and new engine). January I had the engine rebuilt bored 40 over everything new except the turbo and the injectors and the HPOP. Injectors did get new o-rings and copper washer too. I have a little bit of oil in the valley but when I stop no drips or puddles I have a little bit of white smoke at take off but that is it. I`m thinking the injectors are ready to be replaced. Is there anything else I should look at or check before the big expense? The truck itself has 350.000 miles the engine has a little over 10.000 miles. When I rebuilt it I replaced all gaskets. I need help

that much oil should be hard to miss. check the fuel bowl. although, if it were leaking into the fuel, it should be smoking blue pretty good. won't hurt to pull the filter and have a look though

if oil is in your fuel i would have a long hard talk with whoever did the o-rings on your injectors.

then I would make him warranty the job.

new injector o-rings "should" do the trick... and while your at it make sure the 50cent mod is done.. it will save you a headache in the future for a unrelated common problem.

as mentioned, time for warranty on those o rings. quite possible one got nicked on the way in

too bad the video is so poor that you cannot actually see the mod. it is interesting how a simple mod can fix an engineering blunder.

Thanks guys. I pulled out the injectors and I have 3 ab`s 2 ad`s and 3 ae`s. I found a reputable shop and bought 7 ad`s and 1 ae I bought new gaskets wiring harness and ordered glow plugs. 2 injectors the o-rings were black not orange and pink. anything else I should look at before it goes together?
