Replaced gpr and truck died! Need help!!!
So my truck was having some issues starting up in the cold, so I ordered a new gpr and put it in tonight. The truck has been sitting since Wednesday (today Saturday) I put it in let them cycle and it started up like it would if it were warm no smoke nothing let it idle for about 3-4 minute when it died. Like I shut the truck off. The battery light came on OD off light came on cel came on and the glow plug light came on. I shut the key down and went to crank it over, the same lights came on and it will crank and crank and crank but nothing....any ideas guy???

Anyone? I need this thing running by tomorrow! Do you think cps? Poor battery connections? Would bad connections cause the truck to die?

Just double check everything you took off and even things you thought to take off. And then recheck them. And if you have a spare cps laying around just throw it in there. It only takes 2 minutes to switch. Good luck.

My drivers side battery ground was loose and caused the same thing. I hadnt touched the batteries in over a year and didnt think it was the problem, but over time it loosened up enough.

Will clean the connections today and grease them. Will a napa cps do or should I go to ford if that doesn't work?

Not the batteries, I cleaned the terminals. There's no dealers near me open on Sundays so I am going to advanced just to see if a new cps will start it. If it does ill buy oem tomorrow. Will swapping in the new gpr have anything to do with the truck not starting? Should I swap the old one back in?

Did you make sure to mark each wire to the correct location when you removed them from the old GPR? And did you make sure that all the wires went back to the correct terminals on the new GPR? This picture may help. Sorry it's so small.
