Throttle Position Senso
I have tried searching and not found an appropriate thread. If there is one I apologize for duplications.
I have a 99 F250 and last week I drove the 35 miles to work. As I was pulling into the parking lot the Service light popped on and I had no throttle response. I read the code and had low input in Throttle sensor C. At lunch I went out and looked at the assembly to see what I needed to replace and the truck started and revved fine. Looking online I found that Ford doesn't just sell the sensor and I need the whole pedal assembly. I found an aftermarket sensor and ordered it but upon removing the old one I noticed the old one has a slot whereas the new one has a different looking attachment. I put the old one back in this morning and now I am getting low input on sensor A. Should I just bite the bullet and pay the high Ford price to by the entire assembly? |

No, for those years, you can get just the sensor.
If auto, remove the coulumn shell and inspect the wires from the OD/shifter lever. My buddy had a freyed yellow wire, that did the same thing as yours. |
