weird burning smell at wot

Just installed a wicked wheel and new up pipe doughnuts on my L99 psd and now when at WOT for about 5 seconds i get a wird smell in the cab......kinda like a burning smell. maybe the coating on the new doughnuts are burning off or maybe the lube and never sieze??......got maybe 20-30 miles since install. was getting a high turbo circut output code untill i plugged the wastegate back in.
