Starter install at home
Hey guys.
Is there any pit falls to installing a new starter on my wifes Excursion at home. I have never installed a starter on the Ford diesel. I have on Chevy and Ford gas engines a bunch and on Cat and Case diesel tractors. Her starter is making a bad grinding sound every now and then and it needs to be replaced. Dealer wants $600.00. I found a DB starter on ebay for $109.00. Feed back would be appreciated. Thanks all.
