Hey guys, I bought my truck about 2 months ago (2002 7.3 177000 miles on it) and I noticed when i bought it that the "wait to start" light doesn't come on. I never really thought anything of it until last night the truck had sit for 24 hours (it was about 50 degrees out) and it had a hard time starting....usually fires right up. Any reason why this light wouldn't come on? Bad glow plug relay? If it is, what are some aftermarket unit that will hold up to the demands of the glow plugs?
i had this problem b4.. there is a fuse under the dash panel 20 something mabey 22 or 23 but im not sure... it could even test ok..mine did.. was getting a bad connection tho i would definitely start there assuming your battery and connections are good that is
