02 Ford Lariat with 7.3 PSD Blowing starter Fuse
I have an 02 F250 lariat with 7.3L PSD. It keeps blowing the fuse for the starter. I installed a push button start on the dash and bypassed the Wiring harness completely (to diagnose if the wiring harness was the problem) by hooking it directly to the Battery and It just melted the wire I installed. Does anyone know why it would have melted the wire and if the wiring harness may be the original problem?

Take a look at the sm wire going to the starter itself (Yellow, maybe Grn or Blu stripe?) where the terminal end is, there's an insulation sleeve there that can chafe through. As that end is sometimes bent against the solenoid it will short there and cause the fuse to blow (113 right?)
