Losing Coolant?

Seems to be on my 2002 7.3 that about every 3000 mile oil change my coolant bottle is about 4'' lower than it should be.....I fill it every time and every time is goes down about 4''.

Do you think I possibly have a head gasket issue or is there anything else that may be a issue??

I haven't really noticed any white smoke or anything that would make me think I have a head gasket issue. The truck is worked hard and is used for towing heavy loads regularly.

Thanks for any advice.

The oil doesn't seem milky at all so I don't believe there is any coolant in the oil.

If worse comes to worse and I have to have the head gasket done is there any mods that I should be doing while its apart?
