01 hiccuping and stalling

Throwing a p0344 code which is the camshaft positioning sensor. While I'm driving at low speeds the truck will randomly stall and its getting worse and worse. And every now and then it will hiccup pretty bad while I'm driving. Will the cps cause this?

22 bucks from autozone for the new sensor and about 10 minutes of my time. All you need is a 10mm socket and a flathead screwdriver to pry it out. Easy fix.
