Won't run a contribution test???
2001 F250 7.3 auto stock.
Okay, I have replaced my cam and exhaust backpressure sensors, and fixed my under valve cover harnesses. This got the check engine light off, but I still have a miss-no codes. Went to the cool guy in town with the proper SnapOn code reader to do a buzz test and contribution test, and my truck would NOT initiate the contribution test. Does this happen much? We looked at the pre-delivery values of the injectors while running, and 5 and 8 had higher numbers. This makes me think those would be my bad injectors, but why wouldn't it start the contrib? I am thinking clogged nozzles since I found really fine sand in my filter. Can these be "cleaned" in some way?
BTW it does not smoke.
:dunno:
