Running rough
Hey all! I have a late 99 F250 Superduty. It recently started running rough like it was out of fuel or had air in the lines. Since I
ve had it it had done this at 1300-1700rpms but now will do it the entire time. I replaced the CPS and that hasn;t done anything, replaced the fuel filter and that hasn't done anything. When it does it, I can go to accelerate and theres a second or two delay then it takes off. I'm guessing its some sensor as I can unplug the batteries and reset the computer and it will even out for about 5-10 miles then it starts again. I tried to get Auto Zone to scan it but they won't because the Check Engine light hasn't been thrown yet... Any ideas? |

First, Autozone or Advance or any other parts store won't be able to scan your truck even if the CEL is on. There code reader isn't gonna work on our diesels.
second, follow this thread shaking, missing, white smoke please help!!! I don't know how similar your problems are but they sound close. |

You could do a lot worse than throwing a couple cans of Sea Foam in the tank before you fill up next. That stuff cleans the hell out of all things fuel related. I love it.
