Batteries or Altenator

2003 f250 7.3.

No slow cranking or any other issues until yesterday.
Got in the truck to go do a little offroading, battery light was on when idleing.
Everything worked fine.
Stopped for a couple hours, then the truck wouldnt start.
Got it jump started and drove home, on the way home slowly my radio was working intermittingly, then the gauges started doing the same thing.
Engine ran fine but by the time i got home nothing electical worked. (45 minute trip.)
Shut truck off and it would not start again.
Put each battery on a slow charge and the truck started today.

So Batteries or Altenator????
