99 7.3 excursion stalls or dies constantly
He guys, new here and about to go crazy, there several threads aout the stalling issue on the 7.3psd but my symptoms seem to be a bit different. I'm hoping someone can help...
Here is what I have going on....
Truck sarted stalling out a few months back, would cut out, then instantly recover once i took my foot out of it , water in fuel light, batt light and check engine would come on, then all but the the check engine would go off.
Then recently it just died and would crank over but no start, put a used IDM in it and it started right up, thought solved, wrong! On my way home from the shop it stalled out a few times. Woke up the next day and could hardly get it to start. When it started it was rough, like it was running out of fuel. Took off the valve cove and and checked the injector wires, wedged with a quarter, put back together and fired right up, and rough idle was gone, took on a test drive and it stalled out several times but recovered once foot off of pedal, if i floored it it would die like key was turned off, then be tough to start, but would if I kept trying. I've replaced cam sensor, removed Icp, same symptoms. Did get codes p1316 ( IDM ) p0637 ( glow plug failure ) if I'm gentle on the pedal it seems fine, but that is goig real slow and easy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
