Pedastal leak?
i've been trying to eliminate a leak before i replace my slipping clutch. I'm wondering, if you have a pedestal leak, is it possible it's dripping right down the back without pooling in the valley?
started off with oil in the front of the valley, running down the back, so i thought, it was fuel. turned out to be the o rings on the fuel filter, now that it's fixed the valley is dry in front, i know it's not the hpop, and i don't see any dampness on what i can see of the pedestal. I haven't been able to find the right combination of mirrors and body contortions to get a good look at the back, but the valley is defenitely dry. I've been getting drips off my drainplug and filter, was due for a change anyway so did that yesterday and found they were both looser than i would have put them back. i guess a few days will tell if that fixed anything, but i'm still wondering if it's coming from the top, despite the valley being dry.
