Oil leak need some advice

Okay for the last couple days i have noticed a oil leak which i thought was from my drain plug..but i got under it last night and checked the drain plug and it was tight..so i noticed it was coming from the side of the pan and it looks to be coming from where the dipstick goes in..what should i do i took a few pictures of what it leaked overnight..and i also just did a ccv mod if that matters..thanks guys!

u can try tightening the dip stick nut. Go easy though. Bob at DieselOrings has a repair kit for the dip stick

Okay thanks i will try that! I wasnt sure if it was a gasket or a oring behind there..i was just getting worried my ccv mod might have been why it was leaking for some reason ..

Okay guys got the old oring out and the new one will fit inside the old one!! Do i have the right one?!?! Help

Yep, those are ford packages in my write up.

Did you get the PNs that were in my thread? If so, it's right.
The old one is probably swollen with oil.

Yea its the same number i just wasnt sure and hated to put it back together with the wrong oring!! But i got the oring in there im gonna try and put some rtv on the nut before putting it back on..should i put oil back in it before i put the starter on to make sure it dosent leak? Thanks yall have been alot of help!! I would have been lost otherwise!! Also my nut was lose when i started to take it off but figured id change the oring since i was already there..my nut seems to be flat i wish id got a new nut but would have had to wait till monday...

Oh, I left oil in it. It isn't up to that point until it's slung around by the rods.
Knowing what I know now, I'd RTV around the hole and maybe a little on the inside of the pan around the new oring.

Okay well i got her put back together just giving it a little time for the rtv to set up..and yea i wasnt sure about the oil so i drained some out of it..but with fingers crossed i hope we got it fixed! Thanks for the help!
