7.3 help....

alrighty guys, I'm a newbie here. but here's the story:
At work we have a NBS 7.3 powerstroke, pretty much a basket case at a bit over 200k. As much as i love these trucks, I'm going to try and save a dying breed! So my question is, the turbo no longer spools up? what can i do short of taking it all apart and rebuilding it? or replacing it? not looking for power, just enough forced air induction to pull our hydraulic dump trailer.

rebuild it or get one rebuilt or get one from a junk yard

what do you mean it no longer spools up? that's kind of a vague description. If it's not building boost check for boost leaks and up pipe leaks. and when you say NBS i assume you mean superduty. there is superduty and OBS

it is a superduty and it doesn't sound like the turbo impeller is spinning at all to build up boost.

Well, exhaust leaks will cause exhaust to not pass the turbine wheel, therefore not spinning the impeller.
Or there is a boost leak somewhere on the intake side.
It's stupid to just assume you need a rebuilt turbo.
