New Problem

I still havnt figured out the boost problem/wastegate code. But now my truck wont shift into any gear. When i take it out of park, the engine idles higher but will not move in any gear. Only gear i can find is park.

I was told that it could possibly be the neutral safety switch and that could be causing the issues with the wastegate/boost?

any suggestions would be great.

A WG/boost code. What is the actual code?
I don't see how that would do anything with the trans. The neutral safety switch will just prevent you from starting in anything but N/P.

codes were
First: P1249 wastegate control valve
Second is: P1211 injector control pressure higher/lower than desired

There seems to be a lot of slop on the shifter on the dash. Really strange that the only gear that i can find is park.

I crawled under the truck while i had someone move the gearshift. The lever on the side of the tranny did move through the gears but there was a lot of slop once in gear.

Ok, so you are at least getting into a gear, but the trans won't move.
The loose shifter has a few fixes. Doing some searching will find threads, but I remember about some screws loose in the column at the end of the shifter, and also a way to tighten the whole shift linkage.
P1249 - Waste gate steady state failure - GND short, plugged hose/port, solenoid, actuator
P1211 - ICP pressure above/below desired - IPR valve failed, stuck, or shorted to ground
The WG is not a big deal. Those are the possible causes.
ICP - do you have a chip? The sensor could be bad, you could have a chip and are running out of HPO, or have another issue.

It will only go into one gear. Park. When i move the shifter the truck idles up and acts like it is engaging in gear..but will only roll backwards. Seems to be no gears there. Heading out to check the bolts on the column now.

Went out an ran the shifter through the gears and finally got the truck to go into Drive. Drove it up the driveway (bout 20 feet) stopped and it wouldnt move again...truck was still in drive.
