Severe oil consumption???

Posting this for a friend, its a 99 7.3l auto cclb, dosent leak oil but in the last 4k miles hE has added 9quarts of oil to keep it full on the dipstick- last oil change/ff change was 4k miles ago... if the truck isnt plugged in even in 50 degree weather it smokes until its driven- idk if this has anything to do with it.

Why is she usin oil boys??

Sounds like injector trouble to me..... Check the fuel there is probably oil in it. Just a guess though. But that's what happened to my dads 95 obs. The injector o rings were shot.
