2000 F250 No Start
My 2000 F250 won't start.
I ran perfectly as usual 2 nights ago. Yesterday, I went out to start it, and nothing. Turn the key and click, click, click, click. I set about troubleshooting. Batteries are good. So I figured simple Relay or Starter issue. Both those are fine. I can't find any issues with wiring, the battery connections are clean and solid. My dash lights appear as normal, the wait to start light is normal, only the check engine light is on. It has plenty of oil, and has run excellent all winter long, and now that it warms up this happens. Today, I get a loud click/buzz/hum behind the dash, and my tach bounces back and forth. It won't even turn over. Ideas? Clutch position sensor? Could that do it? I have an autostart that hasn't been working for a little while now... |

Bad Relay. Originally suspected relay for various reasons. Tested, bought, replaced. Never tested the new one. Turns out the new one from napa that I put on was bad too. Exchanged that one for a different one, and everything was groovy.
Shoulda tested the first new one before I let myself get frustrated. |
