Hard to start and rough idle?

Hi I'm new to posting. So here's my problem. I have a 2001 7.3 with 166,000. It started awhile back being hard to start then yesterday I started it up and then it died (this happen twice) I was reading about low oil could cause this (was bout 5 quarts low) filled it up still hard to start. But when it does start it has a very rough idle. It isn't throwing the service engine light on either. Could it be the Camshaft Position Sensor. Any suggestions

From what you describe it could be a few things.Low batteries is always a possibiltiy. It should crank pretty quickly, the truck will not start until the HPOP meets its goal(500psi?).Very possible that you need to up grade your glowplug relay, search "guzzles".The rough idle can sometimes be helped by depressing the throttle a little once it starts to help equalize the oil preasure between the heads.

The batteries r good. Both changed about a month ago. I'll try pushing pedal to see if it helps. Thanks
