Up pipe gaskets

I have done all the research on the site and figured out what I need to do I guess but i want everyones opinion as to how bad of a job this really is. The gasket that went is the one leading into the turbo on the drivers side so I guess thats not the worst one to go because when the turbo spools it sucks the exhaust in, if it was the one going to the exhaust system and out it would probably be worse. I just dont want to get into something that I cant get out of. I have been driving with it for a while its just starting to get a little stinky in the cab if i park it and leave it running with the air on.

I am very mechanically inclined and i do most things myself but maybe I am wrong. I think things in my head that make sense to me. The leak doesnt look that bad just a small spot on the exhaust donut.
