replacement napa 109 gpr question
i'm starting to troubleshoot the hard start on my 99 using the sticky posted here. i found the gpr to be faulty and replaced it with a napa 109 as suggested. electronics are not my forte, so i have a dumb question before i go further for no reason....
the relay now tests correctly, but im not 100% sure i hooked it up correctly as you have to rotate it a bit and no change in starting ability. is it possible for it to test correctly but not function if hooked to the wrong posts? in conjunction with the instructions, i used the raised marking on top to orient it. there's a raised circle, with 4 "arms" extending from it, one being longer than the others. this seemed to correspond with the instructions, except the part where "dont worry, the wires will make it fine". they made it, but it was a stretch and the wires are under tension.
there's no other way i could see to install it that would lessen that tension though, and it does test correctly, makes me wonder though, since the wires are so tight.
any thoughts?
