intermittent knock under accel.

PLEASE lend me ur thoughts
I got a truck in today, 2000 F250 99 motor 263k miles. owner said it had no power and when it warmed up it surged bad at idle. It has recently had a HPOP gasket replaced because of a leak and new waterpump. I changed the CPS, ICP, and cleaned the EBP sensor and tube. The CPS curred the surge and it has power now but if i push it to go it has a intermittent CLACK sound in the motor. with the truck in park, i can rev it up and it has a intermittent miss above 2500 RPMs. What can i check to try to find the problem? Thanks for any help u can give

well iv been workin on this hunk of crap for several days and cant find the problem. iv changed every sensor the IDM, all filters, pulled valve covers off and checked every connection for any signs of problems. iv unplugged each injector and revved it up each time and it still has a hard random knock/miss about once every 6-10 sec. i figured it would stop once i unpluged the problem circuit or injector. what in the heck do i do now? help me out guys. PLEASE!!!!

Probably need to run a cylinder contrib test and injector buzz test.

It's RIDICULOUS how these different CPSs can affect the truck.
There was a test done by someone regarding the different characteristics of them but idr which one was best.
