03 7.3 lost power now starts and dies
My 2003 F-350 lost power while driving @ 60 mph, would stumble with more pedal, no smoke... was able to limp home. I opened the drain on the filter housing while idling and drained off a few ounces of fuel, now it will start but barely runs then dies, no lights on dash, sounds like it's not getting fuel but it has half a tank and always gives me a low fuel light when low. 200K miles, daily driver and trouble free 'till now. Idea's?
Thanks! |

Morning update
Okay, 12 hours later this morning I turn key on, listen to lift pump run and build pressure, start the engine and it runs perfectly. Took it for a couple of mile spin and everything seems normal... Glad it's running but now I don't trust it, changed the filter about 3K ago but will check it today.
Truck is equipped with propane injection but it was off at time of failure and I don't think it was the culprit. Def seemed like a fuel delivery issue at the time, any ideas to check would be welcome. Thanks |

fuel issues can be due to hpop issues or ipr issues, no injection poressure equals no fuel?
i have seen ipr's fail |

Sounds like a CPS problem, or possibly an IPR going bad. Get a full diagnostic ran. CPS will run around $25 and IPR from ford will be $225+. Before you start throwing parts at it get a full diagnostic ran.
