While driving steady down the road I loose throtel response?

When I get up to speed i loose the ability to speed up unless I push on the peddel hard enough to make it down shift. When it does then it jumps as if I had throttled up but I have that huge dead spot where i push on the peddle and nothing happens. After I step down and get it to shift then the control returns to normal until I cruise for a bit.

I have a recent post where the truck went down and they replaced the injector controler and the fuel pump. When they did that they upgraded the software and flashed my ecm. I have a Sniper 40 hp chip in the truck that has a secondary feature of a high idle switch.

What I am wondering is the chip made for older software and interfearing with the new set up.

Any guidance will be appriciated.

1999 F-250 4X4 Crew cab Lariat short bed junk hauler. Truck is used for daily hauling of steel. 26000 lbs or less. No performance mods other than larger exaust. Wanted this truck since it came out in 99.

WHAT it only took me 7 years to buy it!!

Chevrolet 6.2 convert so as you can bet I am thrilled with the power of the Powerstroke!
