While driving steady down the road I loose throtel response?

When I get up to speed i loose the ability to speed up unless I push on the peddel hard enough to make it down shift. When it does then it jumps as if I had throttled up but I have that huge dead spot where i push on the peddle and nothing happens. After I step down and get it to shift then the control returns to normal until I cruise for a bit.

I have a recent post where the truck went down and they replaced the injector controler and the fuel pump. When they did that they upgraded the software and flashed my ecm. I have a Sniper 40 hp chip in the truck that has a secondary feature of a high idle switch.

What I am wondering is the chip made for older software and interfearing with the new set up.
