I have a E99 powerstroke which i just rebuild the motor in due to a broken piston ring. I know unheard of in a 7.3. It had a broken oiler I think it was piston number 1 cant remember since it was over a month ago. I was driving through town and it started smoking white and no power at all. ended up being a broken injector bolt and was pouring oil and fuel on top of the piston. My fault probably over torqued or under tourqued the bolt. Anyways it is pouring oil out of the valve cover right around the number eight injector. The same one that had broken bolt. I used a different torque wrench to torque it this time and re tightened all of the other injector bolts. Suggestions? injector cracked head cracked where injector seats? pull it back out and re torque it? or maybe valve cover gasket even though it was just replaced?
