2000 F250 sevice engine soon

I was on my way home tonight from work. I stepped on the gas so to speak and my service engine soon light came on for about thirty seconds and then went out. Any ideas ? Thanks.

No it isn't tuned. I needed to get up to speed with the rest of the traffic. I noticed in my rearview some smoke from the exhaust. Once I was off the accelerator there was no smoke.

I don't know if an untuned truck can make over 23 psi or not, but if you make 23psi without some sort of boost relief valve or tunes to overwrite it, it will trip the truck and defuel and throw the ses light for like a min.

Going to run a scan tomorrow.I am new to diesels and accelerated pretty hard for just a couple of seconds to move into the traffic. The light came on for just about thirty seconds and went out. It didn't come on the rest of the drive home. It ran fine the rest of the way home. It wasn't running rough or anything and when I slowed down to idle it was nice and smooth.
