Alright guys long story short replaced batteries and cps after breaking down drove 600 miles and got to work went to leave no start I have. 2000 with 120000 miles on it already tried unplugging icp still no start getting fuel to bowl checked oil its good so I'm asking do you think it could be the hpop because u can't smell diesel or see smoke while cranking? Need help bad need this truck

WTS Light? - do you get it when you first roll-on the key?

Tach Movement? - does the tach needle move up slightly when cranking?

Fuel - pump runs? Fuel refilling filter housing? Tank below 1/4?

Is it cranking fast enough? - it won't even TRY to start if cranking really slowly.

Is your truck "chipped"? If so, remove it as a Test.

Has the "Check Engine" been coming on at all? - codes would be the fastest way to direct you. Unfortunately, it takes a special scanner to retrieve them...

Did you check the plug and sheet metal nut going to the IPR? Try "rapping" on the IPR with a screwdriver handle, sometimes if stuck, you can "free it up".

Yes wait to start light getting fuel to filter no codes or chip getting tac movement already checked ipr also half a tank and plenty juice to crank but noticed while cranking no movement on oil pressure everything else is reading like it should and u can't smell diesel from exhaust or see any smoke? Don't get it

Boy there's something you'd want to verify... Are you sure you used to see that gauge come-up while cranking? If you don't have engine oil pressure you won't have HiPres oil to run the injectors.

You could take the plug out of the top of the HPOP res and "dip" it. You should find it full of oil within an inch of the top. Get a gauge on the EOP and check to be sure maybe?

my 2000 left me stranded at work two weeks ago. It was the ipr, just crapped out when i shut the truck off when i got to work. if you have a scan tool check that your injector pressure is around 1600-1800 psi. mine was only making 80psi
