2000 HPOP removal help

Well it finally blew oil everywhere. I have ruled out any of the HP lines or o-rings as I have already replaced them 1 year ago. Looks to be coming from under the HPOP and fuel filter housing. I have it all torn down except the front bolt to the HPOP behind the front cover. I cannot get it to break loose. I am afraid of breaking something so I quit for the night and am looking for suggestions. How do you get the HPOP removed from your 7.3. Looked up You Tube with no videos on removal.

I put a pry bar in the teeth of the sprocket. Remove the top cover to do this. I think the large bolt thru the front cover is 27mm. But I am probably wrong on that it's been a while. Then just unbolt it.

is it a right or left hand threaded bolt. Would a 3/8 air ratchet be too much to use to get it out? I cant budge it and will the washer fall into the front cover if I get it loose and take it straight off or will the washer stay with the pump. I heard they can be easily dropped in the front cover.

the 3/8 is fine, its regular thead. Just don blast thebolt all the way out with the gun. Get it loose with it. Pay attention to the washer. You wont drop it. Just be aware of its position on the bolt.
